This site has been created to assist prospective homebuyers with information about the programs and operation of the Escambia County Housing Finance Authority (the "Authority"). Since 1982, the Authority has issued approximately $1
billion in tax-exempt single-family bonds to provide affordable housing
to families and individuals living in Escambia and other participating counties with which it has interlocal agreements.
The Authority assists low- and moderate-income homebuyers in realizing their dreams and goals of home ownership by providing 30-year fixed loans at interest rates that are below normal market rates. In addition, the Authority also provides down payment and closing cost assistance to buyers who meet the income and sales price limits of the program. There are several unique loan options offered, one of which may fit the needs of a prospective qualifying buyer. The loans are available in Escambia, Holmes, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton and Washington (the "Escambia Region"), as well as Alachua, Citrus, Gadsden, Hernando, Indian River, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Marion, Martin, Okeechobee, St. Lucie, Taylor, Bradford, Franklin, Putnam, Union and Wakulla counties. After reading the material on this site, contact the Authority for additional information, using the direct links provided for your convenience.
